It is no longer news that Nigerian striker, Odion Jude Ighalo will no longer be part of Super Eagles team that will prosecute the forthcoming 2021 African Cup Of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
Ighalo who was the top goal scorer in the last edition of the competition was reportedly blocked by his Saudi Arabian club, Al Shabab from representing Nigeria.
Before now, Nigerian were relying on Ighalo to lead the Super Eagles attack at the tournament in the absence of Victor Osimhen as well as Emmanuel Dennis who were both prevented from participating in the biannual tournament.
Nigeria will clash against Egypt, Guinea-Bissau and Sudan in Group D of the competition.
However, I strongly believe the Super Eagles will feel the impact of playing without Ighalo. The former Watford frontman is one of the most prolific goal scorers.
Though there are other strikers like Sadiq Umar and Taiwo Awoniyi but I believe none of them is close to what Ighalo can achieve.
Ighalo is also among the most experienced players in the Super Eagles team and his absence will definitely affect the team.
