An early blockbuster in the 2017/2018 EPL season saw Guardiola’s Manchester City humiliate Liverpool after Sadio Mane’s was issued a red card in the first-half red
Sergio Aguero opened the gate of goals before Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane rounded up things with a brace each. The 5-0 win became City biggest win over Liverpool since 1937.

Liverpool 4-3 Manchester City (Premier League, 2018)
The reverse fixture saw Guardiola’s men head to Anfield in January still unbeaten in the Premier League, comfortably on the top of the table, amidst talk of an Invincible season from fans and pundits.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring for the Reds early on, before Leroy Sane’s made things all square at half-time. In the second half, Liverpool attack blew City defense away with goals from Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah putting the Reds three goals ahead.
However, Liverpool survived a late scare of a draw with goals Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan setting up a breathless finish.
Liverpool 3-0 Manchester City (Champions League, 2018)
Having ended City’s dream of an Invincible season, Liverpool and Manchester City were paired together in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
In a thrilling first leg at Anfield, Liverpool thrashed City to take a strong grip on the tie, scoring three goals in the first 31 minutes leaving Guardiola and his team dumbfounded.
