Having played against him twice in the Champions League, Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi believes he can stop Liverpool talisman, Mohamed Salah, when Nigeria clash against Egypt at AFCON 2021.
Recall that Liverpool came up against Porto twice in the Champions League but were victorious on both occasions.
Klopp’s men beat the Portuguese club 5-1 away from home before recording a 2-0 win at Anfield in the return leg.

Despite bagging a brace in the first leg and scoring another in the return tie, Sanusi is confident he can stop the Egyptian from shining this time around when they clash at AFCON.
Sanusi told Completesports.com:
“I have played against Salah in his Liverpool colors twice this season in the Champions League and I am not afraid to play against him again. Though we lost both legs of UEFA Champions League, I was able to minimize his forays and reduce his influence in the two defeats.
“Having played against him, I am confident that we can keep him quiet and stop the Egyptians’ attack from hurting us. We have a young team and a good attack that can score goals, so the Egyptians should fear us too. I believe we can beat them if we get our tactics right.
“On if we can win 2021 AFCON, I will say we are among the favorites, but we have to try and qualify from the group first. We want to win and make our own history. It’s not going to be easy, but by the grace of God, we can make it happen.”
